D1.5 Preliminary Report on Ecodesign, Sustainability, Energy Storage and Material Safety Assessment

The purpose of this deliverable in short is: i) to preliminarily assess the sustainability performance of both batteries used in the hybridised scheme, ii) to delve into the employed materials safety, iii) to study current recycling routes for both battery’s chemistries, and iv) to arrange most relevant information from previous analysis to set HYBRIS ecodesign recommendations. Target audience of this public report ranges from battery’s manufacturers to the general public concerned about the importance of a sustainable energy transition, being the results also important to nourish novel EU regulatory requirements and the global R&D ecosystem in the field.
